Dreamland, Montgomery, Alabama Revisited

I was in Montgomery for depositions and went to Dreamland for dinner with Census data guru Tony Fairfax of Hampton, VA.

I noticed that they had sausage on the menu, and ordered a link.

The sausage was good, and there was more of it before I bothered to take a picture.  It was not Conecuh Sausage good, but it made a nice appetizer.

I ordered a half rack of ribs, no sides.

They were, as usual, very good.  Meaty, smoky and with a nice peppery sauce.  And the white bread was great with the sauce.  So wa a Good People IPA.

It was Tony’s first experience with Dreamland.  He ordered the rib plate with fries, a tossed salad and a beer with fruit in it – all of the basic food groups.

Tony was enthusiastic about the ribs and packed some in his suitcase to take some home to Virginia.

Dreamland doesn’t have the best  ribs in Alabama – Archibald’s does – but they are a good choice.  Note: I have not had the ribs at Saw’s.

  1. Dreamland sausage and barbecue was excellent. If you’re in Montgomery, I highly recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself. And, the ribs were just as good a couple days later… Finally, this is a great blog if you’re a barbecue lover!
