I was in Montgomery for depositions and went to Dreamland for dinner with Census data guru Tony Fairfax of Hampton, VA.
I noticed that they had sausage on the menu, and ordered a link.
The sausage was good, and there was more of it before I bothered to take a picture. It was not Conecuh Sausage good, but it made a nice appetizer.
I ordered a half rack of ribs, no sides.
They were, as usual, very good. Meaty, smoky and with a nice peppery sauce. And the white bread was great with the sauce. So wa a Good People IPA.
It was Tony’s first experience with Dreamland. He ordered the rib plate with fries, a tossed salad and a beer with fruit in it – all of the basic food groups.
Tony was enthusiastic about the ribs and packed some in his suitcase to take some home to Virginia.
Dreamland doesn’t have the best ribs in Alabama – Archibald’s does – but they are a good choice. You should go have some.
